Iced Matcha Latte Recipe
5th Aug 2019
If you’ve been to Japan, you will know how much they love a matcha latte. While it is traditionally served warm, the younger generation love to sip on an iced matcha latte. This vegan twist can be made in a matter of minutes, and is great to enjoy on a warm summer's day. You can pour your iced matcha latte into a flask, and take it with you to enjoy throughout the day.
You Will Need
- Plant-based milk such as coconut, hemp or cashew milk
- 1 tsp of Hybrid Herbs Matcha powder
- A chasen
Instructions
Spoon the matcha into a large mug (leaving lots of space for the ice cubes) and then add in warm but not boiling water. Use your chasen to vigorously whisk the mixture until all of the matcha has properly dissolves and you are left with a beautiful, frothy drink. Add in the cooled plant-based milk and then add the ice cubes. You may need to play around with your matcha dose in order to create the perfect strength cup of matcha, as the ice cubes will water down the drink a little as they melt. If you don't have a chasen, then you can use a mini whisk, fork, or even blender to whizz up the mixture and make it frothy.
