Rooted in experience. Growing since 2010.
Hybrid Herbs is an independent, family-run business born from a personal fascination with mushrooms, botanicals and the traditions surrounding them.
It started with Cordyceps.
Our story began when founder Kieran travelled to China in his youth following a period of poor health and exhaustion. It was there that he was introduced to Cordyceps — and to a world of traditional mushrooms and botanicals that was completely new to him.
Fascinated by what he discovered, Kieran returned home with mushrooms to share with friends and family. What began as a personal interest gradually grew through local fairs and events, eventually becoming Hybrid Herbs in 2010.
WHY EXTRACTS?
Tradition, made practical.
As Kieran explored mushrooms and traditional botanicals more deeply, one challenge kept coming up: preparation.
Traditional methods could involve lengthy simmering and preparation — something that didn't always fit easily into everyday life.
That led Hybrid Herbs towards concentrated extracts: taking inspiration from traditional ingredients while making them simpler to incorporate into modern routines.
Over time, that philosophy became central to what we do — carefully selected mushrooms and botanicals, thoughtfully prepared and straightforward to use.

Hybrid Herbs has always been shaped by more than the products we sell.
Animals have been part of our story from the beginning — from the four-legged companions who were there during the earliest days of the business, to the wildlife we now have the privilege of sharing our lives with.
Our love and respect for animals is also why being vegan has always felt like a natural part of who we are.
Some things become part of a business plan. Others are simply part of who you are.

More than 15 years after Hybrid Herbs began, we're still discovering ingredients, learning from the traditions that inspired us and finding new ways to bring mushrooms and botanicals into everyday life.
