Organic Maitake Mushroom Extract Powder

A concentrated 10:1 extract of Organic Maitake (Grifola frondosa), made exclusively from the mushroom fruiting body and providing a minimum 40% polysaccharides.

Maitake is one of the most distinctive mushrooms in Japanese food and herbal traditions. Growing in beautiful overlapping clusters, it has been valued for generations and is traditionally known in Japan as “Maitake” — the Dancing Mushroom.

Rather than simply grinding dried Maitake into a powder, ours is carefully prepared as a 10:1 concentrated extract — meaning approximately 10 parts of mushroom are used to produce 1 part of finished extract.

Why our Maitake?

  • 10:1 Concentrated Extract — approximately 10kg of mushroom used to produce 1kg of extract
  • 100% Fruiting Body
  • Minimum 40% Polysaccharides
  • Certified Organic
  • Pure Maitake Extract Powder
  • No Fillers or Unnecessary Additives

The Dancing Mushroom

The Japanese name Maitake (舞茸) translates as “dancing mushroom.” Its distinctive layered clusters resemble overlapping leaves or feathers, giving Grifola frondosa its unmistakable appearance.

Maitake also has a long culinary heritage, particularly in Japan, where its naturally deep, earthy and savoury character has made it a prized mushroom.

How to Use

Add approximately 1g to hot water, tea, coffee, smoothies or your favourite drink and stir well.

Its naturally earthy character also makes Maitake particularly suited to savoury recipes, broths and soups.

Ingredients: 100% Organic Maitake (Grifola frondosa) Fruiting Body Extract Powder.

Pure Maitake. 100% fruiting body. Concentrated 10:1.

Hybrid Herbs were selling medicinal mushroom powders when no one knew what they were!

Just as amazing as the usual Reishi powder but stronger! Great quality products at Hybrid Herbs, been using them for 15+ years. They were selling mushroom powders when no one knew what they were, pre-nu-tropic revolution. I think I prefer the Reishi Powder to Spore Powder but maybe that is because I am putting too much in!

Thank you Hybrid Herbs!!! <3

Always excellent customer service from Hybrid Herbs, much love!! As for the Pine Pollen Powder, highly recommend it!! I read to take it on an empty stomach. First day I mixed some in with water and drank it first thing in the morning (an enjoyable wood flavor), then later on had some breakfast. The very first day I noticed an improvement in my ability to think, mood, motivation. Very much looking forward to continuing this :), huge cheers!! Excellent taste, excellent benefits!!

Great for sleep

A friend recommended reishi to me for sleep and I have been surprised how effective it is. I was previously taking melatonin and I am pleased to replace it with something natural. I also feel that reishi has improved my mood and made me feel more balanced.
