Schizandra Berry Extract Powder
10:1 Concentrated Extract | Wu Wei Zi | Changbai Mountains
Known as Wu Wei Zi (五味子) in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Schizandra (Schisandra chinensis) is a distinctive climbing vine whose bright red berries have been valued in Chinese herbal traditions for centuries.
Its Chinese name translates as the “five-flavour fruit”, referring to the traditionally recognised sour, sweet, bitter, salty and pungent characteristics of the berry.
Our Schizandra Berry Extract Powder is produced as a 10:1 concentrated extract, providing a convenient way to incorporate this remarkable traditional berry into your everyday routine.

The Five-Flavour Berry
Schizandra holds a distinctive place within traditional Chinese herbalism. Unlike most fruits, which are characterised predominantly by one or two flavours, Schizandra is traditionally associated with all five.
Whole dried berries have historically been incorporated into teas, decoctions and traditional preparations. Our concentrated extract provides a simpler approach, with the extraction process already completed and the resulting powder ready to use.
Schizandra has a naturally distinctive, predominantly tart flavour, so a relatively small amount goes a long way.
How to Use
Begin with approximately ¼–½ teaspoon and mix into warm water, tea, smoothies or your favourite drink.
Its naturally tart character also works particularly well in botanical tonics and elixirs.
Ingredients: 100% Schizandra berry extract (Schisandra chinensis).
